At the meeting of borough council knew on June 29, wished upon a proposal from Rene of Paris DUTREY adviser, Green, was adopted, establishing a moratorium on any new installation of satellite relays in the 14th arrondissement.
This moratorium will end only if the revision of the Charter of Paris includes a threshold of public exposure to electromagnetic fields at 0.6 volts / m.
This wish has been supported by Pascal Cherki (Mayor of the 14th PS) and was voted unanimously. This is a first in France in mobile telephony.
The text adopted by the Council of the 14th arrondissement, on 29 June, which was mentioned in the release of Robin Roofs published in the previous post:
The Borough Council expresses the hope that in the extension of actions implemented by the City's mobile and location of antennas, the Mayor of Paris retains the 14th district to experience a level of exposure to 0.6 volts per meter and that this experiment allows lead to the establishment of this maximum threshold in the renegotiation of Charter relating to mobile telephony in the fall of 2009. Pending the adoption of the new Charter on the mobile phone, a moratorium on any new installation of antenna is imposed on the entire territory of the 14th district. "
* The threshold is 0.6 volts per meter the warning threshold advocated by a growing number of scientific experts. They believe that beyond this threshold, the electromagnetic radiation emitted by phone masts pose a risk to those exposed.
