While happening something unexpected at the invitation of John Paul and Marc Berrenger Hamandjian in popular districts of Rouen and sensitive, the latter, then Marc, gives me a guide to architecture.
(yes Marc I often gifts and then?)
This guide modern architecture in Paris from 1900 to 1990 is written by Hervé Martin Alternatives to editing and published in 1986.
It closely resembles our guide Mr. Amouroux. There are photographs in black and white, critical texts and location information. The preface to Monsieur de Portzamparc is simply superb and evokes questions of image, of the architectural promenade and gives meaning to such a draft guide.
And as the friends gather as postcards, the arrival of Sylvain Bonniol (talented photographer) to visit the exhibition of brutalist vigilance committee arrived almost simultaneously.
So what?
Nothing less than to take his car, take the guide and roam the streets of Paris to see if by chance the pictures in books tell the truth.
A city is a mixture:
the beautiful hotel of Monsieur Dufau seen as a postcard here :
all of Mr. Bofill also a place that remains the most amazing (beautiful? right?):
Sylvain Bonniol at work:
a place of work consists of Mr. Grumbach left and in front of Jean-Claude Bernard:
on the other hand, Christian de Portzamparc at work:
A facade by Mr. Zublena which I am familiar with the work to the school of fine arts at Le Mans:
bonding brutal and beautiful:
Even in the most ugly, a sports complex on the slab, one can find strange
But what troubled us most is installation of fences around Les Halles. It's the end of this place that looks and that is a deep regret:
Finally, Hervé Martin, the author of this architectural guide will give us the translation or explanation of this mysterious inscription on the flyleaf of this guide:
Thanks Marc for the gift and thank you Sylvain for your eyes on the city .
