Sometimes I can not find.
Nothing to the canvas remains mute on some buildings. Me
remaining the postcards and the images they bear, which you will agree is ultimately the reason for this blog.
image.
Here is a nice example
This postcard of Puy Saint Vincent (Hautes Alpes), station 1600 is perfectly composed.
From foreground to the mountainous horizon, the photographer was able to play space station by the slope instead of the depth of field building his image for detail led to the gigantic rock.
Many red accents on clothing and seats: skiers as posed in the middle of a village square or on the beach take a break relaxed.
Then a white surface is left blank cutting through a hard but beautiful architecture, made of alternating a tumble of buildings in what seems a beautiful moldings white and black.
This movement builds and comes to play with artificial mountains, which between its formal freedom.
Yet the contrast is fine and allowed to rise slowly progression between a black and white to a bluish gray and dusty rock and then finally the blue sky with white stripes.
So another example of a postcard to the rich composition, affirmed knowing invent (read?) Space and place.
I do not know precisely the location.
That is to say that for me, this postcard is the only way to access this space to expand or interpret.
There is no drop in image of the photographer, no hazardous or indifferent eyes. And his anonymity strengthens in me a sense of the image. He composes.
The small figure of the pedestrian crossing off the image, its placement accentuates the perfect balance of a popular image.
If some of you know the name of the architect or the photographer home Théojac publisher, I'm interested.
